I'm a WV wife, mom, and grandma! I love animals, arts & crafts, and nature. I'm very interested in the Law of Attraction and how we are all connected. I am interested in many things, and my blog will reflect that, so you will see a variety of things here, from family and pets, to cooking, and working at home. You just never know!
I enjoy watching videos on YouTube, Netflix, etc., but I’m especially fond of ones that let us see into the lives of other people. When I watched this video on YouTube entitled “How the Other Half Live” by David Abingdon, it really struck a chord in me. I was expecting to see a comparison of wealthy and poor people, and I did, but it was much more than that. The Abingdons actually sponsored this mother and daughter!
The wealthy family had grown up more poor and were just the sweetest people. The poor single mother and little girl were living in dire circumstances, and just couldn’t seem to find a way out of them. This wasn’t because she didn’t want to work, she actually had a law degree, but was unable to land an apprenticeship. But everything changed when these two families got together! I was in tears several times. I don’t want to ruin it all for you, so watch this beautiful story!
I am surprised to see the looks on the kids faces sometimes, when they realized how a lot of other children had to live. The Abingdon family are all such kind, wonderful people, and I’m sure they will carry this experience with them for the rest of their lives. Hopefully, more people will take a lesson from this, and start giving people in bad circumstances a helping hand. I would love to see how things are going a few years down the road! How about you?
Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a cute stork I made for a friends baby shower! I had a lot of fun building this guy. And it was a lot easier than I figured it would be.
I started by making the mailbox. There is wire sticking out of the bottom, so I could secure it to the base. Then I made the legs with wire sticking out of both ends. After they were baked, I shaped the torso and attached it to the legs. It was a bit tricky to get the wings to hold the baby while baking, but a little bit of paper towel and a handy mug made it secure while curing!
I used a little paint on the base, then gave it a coat of varnish, and viola! One special delivery for a very special lady!
And here is the back view! I’m fairly new to recording my every step while making things, so please forgive the lack of images and pleasing backdrop. LOL
Thanks for stopping by, and have a splendiferous day!
I love dogs and pictures of dogs and videos of dogs, but I have to say this little clip is the cutest!!! I don’t know where she lives, but if it’s nearby, Sasha might have to work it to keep Zeus’ interest. LOL Zeus is my german shepherd dog, and Sasha lives right across the street with our neighbors.
Here is my gorgeous Zeus and Sasha gazing longingly across the street at each other! They are so cute! She is the only dog he won’t bark at from inside the front door. And THAT’S saying something! LOL Instead, he stares out at her and just whines and cries. He’s totally smitten, but the cutie in the video below really has some moves! I don’t think he’s that fickle, though. 😉
This is a little article explaining why it’s healthier to stay positive! Several years ago, I discovered the concept of the Law of Attraction. Like attracts like. So the more you think happy thoughts, the more good things are going to come your way! It’s not always easy to do, but I have noticed a significant change in my life since I’ve put it into practice. I hope it will do the same for you!
Do you have any experience with the law of attraction? How has it affected you? Let me know in the comments! And have a wonderful day!
